Maine CDC Updates


We appreciate your trust in us to safely accommodate you during your stay at the Anchorage by the Sea.  We have developed enhanced safety guidelines based on the CDC and American Hotel & Lodging Association “SafeStay”program which will help create a safe, healthy vacation for you and a healthy work environment for our staff.

Knowledgeable Advice: 

The CDC and Maine’s DECD (Department of Economic and Community Development) have become our go to resources and we will continue to follow their guidelines in the days ahead.


We are going above and beyond to keep everyone safe. In addition to our high standards of cleaning (awarded AAA inspectors best of Housekeeping 2020), your room has been thoroughly sanitized.

  • Installation of virus killing ultraviolet light air filtration system in public spaces. 
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols throughout the property as well as guest rooms. 
  • Removal of hard to disinfect items in guests’ rooms such as glass drinking tumblers, bolsters, and bed throws

Amenities & Services:

In place of daily housekeeping, for stays less than 7 nights we will provide daily towel replacement, trash removal and additional amenity service.  Stays of 7 nights or longer will be provided full housekeeping service once per week.  Social distancing is no longer required around our pool areas.


  • Providing automatic hand sanitizer stations throughout the property.
  • Installation of plexiglass partitions at front desk & restaurant counters. Rearrange physical layout to ensure appropriate social distancing in our lobby, restaurant and throughout the property.
  • Requiring daily staff health checklist. Mandating that staff stay home if they feel ill. Requiring all staff wash or sanitize hands frequently

Check-in, & Check-out:

  • Minimal contact & expedited check-in, express check-out. Leave your keys in your room, we will email or mail you a final folio.
